Container was founded August 8th, 1928 in High Point, North Carolina. The company's
primary objective was to service the booming furniture and textile industries in the
region. At the time of its creation, Carolina Container was the sole corrugated
manufacturer between Atlanta, Georgia and Washington, D.C. Initially, the High Point facility measured 30,000 square feet and contained a minimal amount of machinery to compliment its corrugator. Today, the High Point facility can claim over 230,000 square feet for manufacturing and distribution. In 1965, a second plant was built in Hickory, North Carolina, with intentions of serving a broader geographic area. The Hickory facility also contained a corrugator, and today provides over 280,000 square feet of manufacturing and distribution capabilities. Currently, Carolina Container has multiple locations throughout the Southeast, with over 1 million square feet of manufacturing and over 1/2 million square feet of warehousing facilities our customers are assured maintainable in-house inventories and quick turn-around of their products. Each plant has continually modernized and boasts state-of-the-art machinery and computerized production systems. Design departments that include CAD-CAM technology interfaced with automated sample tables have allowed us to remain on the cutting edge of today's most modern and effective corrugated packaging.
