We are an independent, privately-owned company with a unique, family-values approach to the way we do business. As a member of the New Indy Containerboard companies, Carolina Container prides itself on delivering only the highest levels of quality and service to all business partners.
Supporting our strength in the market is our ability to service an entire company’s packaging needs while providing individual support along the way. Starting with initial design to production quality samples, our goal is to provide our customers with a quality packaging product and topnotch customer service and support.
Carolina Container was founded in 1928 in High Point, North Carolina. The facility was the first corrugated container plant in the Carolinas, and actually was the only one between Atlanta, Georgia and Washington, DC. A corrugated box company was a very new industry in those days, since most companies that shipped goods used veneer or wooden boxes.
A second corrugated container facility was started in 1965 in Hickory, North Carolina. The Hickory facility is approximately 200,000 square feet and between the two locations, Carolina Container was operating with over 400,000 square feet.
In 2006, Carolina Container purchased Scotland Container which included facilities in North Carolina and Virginia and solidified graphic and litho capabilities.
In 2015, Carolina Container was purchased by New Indy JV. The combination of New Indy and its affiliate companies provide a National presence in converting operations and raw material access.
Today, Carolina Container is taking our production, product value, and customer service to the next level with unparalleled innovations in the packaging industry. Carolina Container is changing the perceptions of not only how a “box company” does business, but manufacturing itself.
